Tranquility Bay is a specialty boarding school developed to help troubled teens in transforming their lives towards betterment. We enable overall development of students rather than limiting them only to academic excellence. Students get a variety of opportunities to engage themselves in different activities which help them show their talents and utilize their potential to the maximum.
Community Service
We take our students to the local schools and give them a chance to help the teachers there for one day. It builds self-confidence among students and makes them to understand the job of a teacher. Students get the opportunity to serve the two local community groups - Treasure Beach Women's Group and The Breds Foundation with projects.
Educational Tours
Things can be easily grasped if students are given the practical knowledge. Our educational tours to bakeries, farms, manufacturers and agricultural enterprises, so that they can relate the theory with real world for better retention and understanding.
Other Competitive Activities
There are 4 major activities planned each year by every department. Our session begins with a debating competition and then a Fun Day in April. This allows students to enjoy their time at Tranquility Bay. In the middle of the year, our Annual Careers Expo and Science/Art Fair make students learn new and innovative things and discover various facts.
On and off campus sporting activities help maintaining proper balance between the academic, social and emotional life of students. Water sports, sight-seeing, beach outings and other cultural events are best enjoyed at Jamaica by the students.
Character Building Courses
We have balanced schedule for the development of skills like confidence, self-esteem, honesty, integrity, anger management and respect. We organize seminars, group discussions and workshops for our students which assist them growing academically, socially and emotionally.
Daily Personal Development and Emotional Growth Courses are an important part of the overall program. A number of technical aids like audio/video tapes, educational movies etc. are used to make these programs successful.
