Tranquility Bay is accredited by the Northwest Association of Schools, Universities and Colleges. It is also a registered independent school with Jamaica's Ministry of Education, Youth and Culture.
Tranquility Bay is build with a mission to improvise student’s growth through challenging and motivating environment with highly structured and individualized curriculum. We believe in overall development of students’ skills and attitude necessary to excel academically and socially.
Our unique academic program helps students to work at their own pace to maximize the learning process. When a student enters the Tranquility Bay academic program, he/she is given a specifically designed education plan. This plan is prepared by our registrar for each student independently, which lists the courses that students have to complete with specified grade requirements. This plan is prepared according to the transcripts received from previously attended schools. Students are enrolled only for those courses which ensure that they will meet our graduation requirements. After study plan’s designing, teachers and students work together and discuss the methods to complete and achieve the goals. Comprehension skills, reading skills and others are also improved in the independent but competitive learning environment.
The education plan is prepared with the help of transcripts which are requested for the enrolling student from previous schools. The process speeds up if parents make a request to the registrar of former school. In case, the student is leaving the academy, we prepare the transcripts within seven working days of his departure and mail to the student’s home. For this purpose, we need in writing the request for transcripts to be sent to new school.
Each student’s progress report is sent every quarter, which lists the credits earned subject wise, progress in present subjects and the credit requirements to be fulfilled in these subjects. Twice in a year, the report also consists of the subjects needed for graduation and the subjects completed.
